Hey, it's not me that the Matron is lusting after.

You're also significantly older than me, so keep quiet!

"I also recommend asking for an extra shot of coffee ... "

You'd probably have to wait a while for that extra shot, Matron.
He's not a youngster anymore.

Gay because of Quiche?

I tell ya, I've never shagged a bloke but some of the ladies I have had the pleasure to acquaint myself with, have. God, I am only 1 degree of separation from being Gay.

My bad pie experience was work's canteen style.

If you are talking high-end (e.g. Berni Inn) then obviously that is another matter completely.

Monk's gone to Iceland.

If you insist on buying cheapo pies, then wallpaper paste is not unexpected. But if you take the trouble to make one yourself (and it's not difficult), the effort is worthwhile. H&P has got a good, if somewhat elaborate, pork pie recipe.

Re: Your favourite tart and pie?
I have had pies where I am sure they had used wallpaper paste as the base for the filling. This tends to make it quite samey.

No doubt there are gourmet pies that use different ingredients.

Coffee - chciken and mushroon, beef and onion, beef and ale, etc same shit to me. If you like one you pretty much like them all.

Which is more than can be said of Bleeding's highly generalised opinion of pies.

All pies are pretty much the same????????????????????????

Re: Your favourite tart and pie?
Lemon meringue/cheesecake (but the base has to be crispy, not the cheap shit)

All pies are pretty much the same.

Re: Your favourite tart and pie?
Fave Tart-Quiche Lorraine with pork sausages, sliced at about 1 inch intervals.

Fave Pie-Chicken and leek.

I make both of these but really enjoy the Quiche more.
